Jointly presented by
The Real Estate & Development Club of the Graduate School of Design and The Real Estate Club of Harvard Business School

Thank you for joining us for the
Real Estate Weekend @ Harvard (Apr 9 - 10)!

"RE:Thinking" real estate . . .

Despite being one of the oldest industries, real estate is constantly being re-examined and re-considered in light of global, demographic, and technological shifts. Themed “RE:THINK,” the conference will bring together those shaping and re-thinking the industry – industry leaders, professionals, interested students, and entrepreneurs. Conference programming includes panels, certified Argus training *, a number of cross-school mixers, and more.

* Argus training requires an additional ticket on Eventbrite
(price is partially subsidized by the conference organizers)

Pitch your startup . . .

“Real Estate Venture Competition” (REVC) challenges participants to "RE:Think" the possibilities within the real estate and built environment space and will spotlight top real estate start-ups across the globe with the potential to materially impact the industry through innovative business strategy and creative execution. Teams will compete in a two-day pitch competition judged by thought leaders and key influencers from the worlds of real estate and investing. Top finalists will present in front of the full audience and main judging panel at the end of “RE:Think” conference programming.

re:Imagine (Development Workshop)

** Registration has ended. **
Please note: waitlist is over 50+ names long.

The re:Imagine Development Workshop will be held on Saturday April 9, 2016 from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. The workshop is a one-day program in which students and young professionals will be placed in interdisciplinary teams and led by a coach to pitch a development proposal to a panel of judges. Note: the Development Workshop requires you to sign-up by April 4.

As a participant, you will:

  • Go behind the scenes and tour the federally-owned Volpe site, for which a real-life RFP is currently live and being pursued by developers such as Related Companies, Boston Properties, and others. (Learn more: Boston Globe Article)

  • Gain exposure on the pre-development and RFP process that developers, architects, and consultants must go through to qualify to exciting large-scale, public, or complex projects. The workshop will simulate a real-life developer RFP response process.

  • Enjoy an opportunity to network and work closely with students and young professionals working in real estate development and design. Each team will be led by a “coach,” who is a young professional currently working at development firm in the US.

  • The Workshop will be judged by industry leaders involved in the planning, design and development process for large-scale projects.
