Q: I am an incoming Harvard Business School (HBS) or Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD) student. Are there any perks I can claim?

A: Welcome to the Harvard community! All incoming HBS MBA students and GSD MDes in Real Estate & the Built Environment students are eligible for free tickets. Q: What is the Development Workshop?

A: The Development Workshop will be held on Saturday April 9, 2016 from 9:00am-6:00pm. The workshop is a one-day program in which students and young professionals will be placed in interdisciplinary teams and led by a coach to pitch a development proposal to a panel of judges. As a participant, you will:

  • Go behind the scenes and tour the federally-owned Volpe site, for which a real-life RFP is currently live and being pursued by developers such as Related Companies, Boston Properties, and others. (Learn more: Boston Globe Article)
  • Gain exposure on the pre-development and RFP process that developers, architects, and consultants must go through to qualify to exciting large-scale, public, or complex projects. The workshop will simulate a real-life developer RFP response process.
  • Enjoy an opportunity to network and work closely with students and young professionals working in real estate development and design. Each team will be led by a “coach,” who is a young professional currently working at development firm in the US.
  • The Workshop will be judged by industry leaders involved in the planning, design and development process for large-scale projects.

Q: How much is an "Argus training" ticket? How do I register?

A: We are pleased to offer a subsidized rate for Argus training! Each ticket will be $30 (original price: $150+). You can purchase an "Argus training" ticket from Eventbrite. Note: this is an additional ticket, Argus training is not included in the conference ticket.

Q: How do I apply for the Real Estate Venture Competition (REVC)?

A: Unfortunately, the REVC is no longer accepting applications. The deadline was March 1.

Q: I'm not a Harvard student, can I still attend the conference?

A: Yes! Absolutely! We welcome and invite students, academics, and professionals from Harvard, the Greater Boston area, and our regional networks. Last year, we had students hail from as far as NYU, Columbia University, and UC Berkeley!
