George Zhang

Development Workshop Chair

George is currently a dual-degree candidate between the Master of Architecture and Landscape Architecture programs at the Graduate School of Design. Professionally trained as an architect and designer, George is interested in and inspired by the intersection between design, real estate, and the built environment. He has had professional experience across design firms such as Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), Kengo Kuma & Associates, and Gensler, covering a wide range of high-profile projects at their various phases from conception to construction. He is also currently a Design Associate for the Advanced Management Development Program (AMDP) for Real Estate Professionals, an Executive Education Program at the GSD that bridges design, planning, and development.  His work focuses on the relationship between architecture and the environment, and has been exhibited at various locations. He is also contributing authors for Architect’s Newspaper in the United States and A+U Magazine in Japan.
